Art has to be beautiful

Eisenberger - Art has to be beautiful, says the frog to the fly

Art is just a label without any relevance, says the Austrian artist Christian Eisenberger. At the age of 40 he created over 45,000 works. He left thousands of them standing in the streets and squares. With his sprawling production, Christian Eisenberger escapes the control of galleries, art fairs and museums. In a milieu that struggles for attention and recognition by all means, the question arises again and again: What does artistic freedom actually consist of? And does that still need artists?
