What is social health

Health definition: physical, mental, social health

General definition of health

Health is a state of "complete physical, emotional and social well-being". Health therefore includes the physical, psychological and social areas, the balance of which has to be re-established over and over again. Humans live in a kind of equilibrium between the two poles of health and disease.

Health is impaired when requirements arise that the person cannot currently meet and cope with. The impairment can then manifest itself in the form of symptoms of the abnormality. Healing therefore means mobilizing and stabilizing people physically, mentally and socially. The respective social, economic, ecological and cultural living conditions form the framework for a healthy life.

In addition, people can decisively promote their health through their own actions by adhering to the basic rules for a healthy life.
