Super Troopers 2 - Filming of the cult comedy sequel begins

Fans of the Super Troopers had to wait a full decade and a half, but now the time has finally come: filming of the sequel of the 15-year-old cult comedy has begun.

It's been 15 years since Super Troopers came into the cinemas and, to everyone's surprise, became a real cult hit and garnered a loyal following. For the long-announced sequel, the Broken Lizard production raised $ 4.4 million in March - 2.4 million more than it actually wanted. The excess budget will go into "Bigger stunts, bathrooms for the women on set (men still have to go into the woods), louder explosions, cameos from real Hollywood actors, more bear fucking and maybe Kate Upton" invested. We could soon find out how much of these promises are being kept because filming of Super Troopers 2 has finally begun.

We find out about this from the Broken Lizard Facebook page (via Deadline), where a picture of the first flap can be seen against a background that is not particularly informative: forest. As with its predecessor, Jay Chandrasekhar, it is directed. Most of the cast has also remained from the original: Brian Cox, Marisa Coughlan, Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme are back again. What exactly Super Troopers 2 is about is not yet known, but with regard to the first part, one can imagine what it will look like: the somewhat aged police patrol of Vermont and their gigantic joy of playing pranks on stopped drivers . There is no start date yet.
