Should I play Morrowind?

Is it worth playing TES: Morrowind when you've played Oblivion and Skyrim?

Hey =)

To say it in advance: the way of playing Morrowind will of course seem very "old-fashioned" to you if you have played the two younger TES parts beforehand. There is nothing to gloss over, and it may well be that the changeover will cause you some problems at first. Given the age, that shouldn't come as a surprise.

But if you can overlook it, the game can still give you a lot of fun ... Especially if you value a large, captivating storyline. I would even go so far as to say that Morrowind is story-wise the strongest of the TES games. In the course of the main story there are always turning points, and in the end you don't even know exactly who the "good guys" and who the "bad guys" are ... let alone which role you are (the player character) actually plays on the whole. Many questions are raised and not all are answered clearly and unambiguously. Morrowind requires a certain amount of thought from the player.

Another clear plus point for me is the scope of the game: if you add both addons (Tribunal & Bloodmoon), you are well looked after for many hours. There are also much more extensive side quests than in the later games, and also a lot more factions that you can join and some of which are hostile to each other.

You have to decide for yourself what is most important to you: modern graphics, an intuitive combat system and a comfortable overview ... Or an exciting, unpredictable story, great freedom of action and significantly more scope than with Oblivion or Skyrim.
