What is the purpose of SpiNNaker

Spinnaker & Gennaker training for touring sailors - 1 week

Spinnaker sailing is a particularly fascinating and dynamic facet of yacht sailing. However, many sailors or owners do not really dare to do it, often the colorful cloth stays stowed below deck. It doesn't have to be like that, because sailing with the Spi is great to train and enriches yacht sailing immensely.

Training takes place on ocean-going yachts between 35 and 41 feet. The training area is the Flensburg Fjord. The focus is on spinnaker training (with and without a mountain hose) and exercises with the gennaker. We train with a maximum of 5 course participants and an instructor.

During the skipper training, when booking full board in the yacht school, the participants live in multi-bed rooms with a maritime theme. For reasons of hygiene, these are currently occupied by a maximum of 2 people (max. 2 households), as a family, if necessary, up to 4 people. But you can also stay externally in nearby pensions / hotels and only book the course at DHH. The course price already includes lunch and dinner at the yacht school.

Requirements:Sport boat driving license See, SKS / BR license or comparable previous knowledge, age group: from 18 years, membership of the course participants in the DHH (to be applied for with the course booking)
Duration: 6 full training days plus arrival and departure with a total of 12 three-hour practical training units
Getting there: Saturday; 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. If you are staying externally, we will be waiting for you at 5:45 p.m. to greet you at the yacht school and then have dinner. The course starts on Sunday at 9 a.m.
Departure: Saturday; 9 a.m. after breakfast
