Parlor spoke in an exclusive interview goal about a possible new striker for the Gunners. The Englishman, who played for the London A-Eleven between 1991 and 2004, believes the 27-year-old would be an excellent commitment. So far, Arsenal has only announced goalkeeper Petr Cech as a new addition this summer.

"Benzema would be a great transfer for Arsenal. I think the fans would be very excited to have him in the squad," said the former Arsenal pro, explaining that Cavani was also a player named as a possible new signing.

"He has a lot of experience with the national team and the teams he played in. If they are available, who knows? Something could happen. Whether we can get them is the other question," said Parlor.

"We know how hard it is to buy players now," he continued. "I'm sure if these types of players are out there and Arsene Wenger knows he can get them, then maybe they are the ones he's trying to get."

Benzema scored 22 times in all competitions for Real Madrid last season, while Cavani netted 31 times for PSG.
