What celebrities are notorious for having affairs?
Bonnie Lee Bakley - biography of the murdered wife of actor Robert Blake
Bonnie Lee Bakley was an aspiring cheatsinger and actress whose only fame was her numerous relationships with celebrities. She was also notorious for using lonely heart designs, deception, and sex to cheat unsuspecting men of their money.
She had an insatiable thirst for the spotlight, and couldn't imagine a life that didn't end up being some kind of famous person, even though she had no recognizable talent. She quickly found that the easiest, surest way for her was to romantically bind to a celebrity and have children for him so that they would be inextricably linked for the rest of her life. Bonnie aspired to it her life.
Who is Bonnie Lee Bakley?
Bonnie was born on June 7, 1956 in Morristown, New Jersey to Marjorie and Edward Bakley. She has three siblings: Margerry, Joe and a half brother named Peter. She was largely raised by her grandmother because her parents were away most of the time to make a living.
She grew up poor and was sexually abused by herfather, both of whom contributed to her strong obsession with finding fame and fortune somewhere far from home. That burning desire led her to drop out of school at 16 to pursue a career as an actress and model in New York City. It was there that Bonnie Lee Bakley met an immigrant named Evangelos Paulaski who was about to be deported and had to get married in order to stay in the United States. Bonnie wasn't the only one to put a gift horse in her mouth and agreed to become his wife for a fee. Shortly after they got married and paid the money, she ended the marriage and he was deported.
When Bonnie turned 21, she married Paul Gawron, her first cousin. They had two children, Glenn and Holly. Although this would be the longest of their ten marriages, the union ended in 1982.
Although Bonnie initially tried to find success as she took on modeling jobs and added roles in a couple of films, it quickly became apparent that she had no chance of becoming a star, and she switched methods. She started a mail order business and sent nude pictures of herself and other women to men who were willing to pay for them.
She ran other moneymakers like placing ads saying she was looking for a male companion and then cheating on the men who responded. She was also involved in credit card fraud. Her plans were so successful that she was able to acquire several properties in Memphis and Los Angeles.
With secured money, Bonnie Lee Bakley put her eyes on the landing of a celebrity partner. She started following some of them, including singer Jerry Lee Lewis, with whom she eventually dated. She had a daughter named Jerri Lee while they were together. However, a DNA test revealed that she was not the singer's child.
She went on to have other affairs with celebrities like Dean Martin, Gary Busy, Frankie Valli, and Christian Brando, to whom she began writing and sending photos as he was serving time on volunteer killing. They met after his release, and Bonnie had a daughter who she claimed was Christian Shannon Brando, although the child turned out to belong to Robert Blake - who she was also dating at the time - and her name became Rose Lenore changed to Sophia Blake.
Bonnie met actor Robert Blake at a jazz club in 1999. The two began dating and after their daughter's birth and eventual confirmation of paternity, they decided to get married. Their union did not come about without conditions, however, one of which was a signed custody agreement that ensured Bonnie could only make one supervised visit to her daughter and get written permission before her friends or family could come to Blake's house.
Bonnie Lee Bakley and Blake exchanged vows in November 2000. The couple lived on the same property, but never in the same house. Their marriage wasn't open or honest, and Blake distrusted her enough to hire a private investigator to follow her. It didn't help that she continued her many plans even though she was now married.
How did she die?
On May 4, 2001 - what seemed a normal day - Blaken took his wife Bonnie to dinner at their favorite Italian restaurant, Corelli, on Tujunga Avenue in Studio City. As they walked home, Blake remembered leaving his gun on the table and running back to get in while Bonnie waited in the car. He returned to find that she had been shot twice in the head and shoulders and died on the spot.
Initially, Blake was charged with her murder, but the jury decided to acquit him. However, in a civil lawsuit, he was found guilty of guilty death and asked to pay $ 30 million to Bonnie's family. On appeal, the verdict was upheld, but the sentence was halved.
